Enter your Eckerd username (portion that comes before @eckerd.edu in your email) and authenticate using your current Active Directory password, cell phone number, email, or challenge questions.
Enter your new password and click Reset
Please keep in my mind: Active Directory will not let you repeat a recent password, nor will it allow you to use part of your name or email address.
If you get an error message that reads 'failed dictionary', it means the phrase chosen is not satisfactory. It tends to reject phrases with repeated symbols, letters, or numbers. To combat this, substitute symbols for others, or break apart words using various characters.
Make sure that all sections say successful (green check) and there are no errors (red x) before clicking finish.
* Accounts created after July 2018 have been loaded with challenge questions, and we periodically ask users to update their challenge questions and cell phone (SMS) information using the Update Profile tool. If none of these methods work for you, please call ITS at 727-864-8830 and let the HelpDesk know that you are unable to reset your own password using the Password Portal.
