VPN Access information for Vendors

VPN Access

You will need to install a Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) app on your mobile device. ITS recommends Twilio Authy.

On Windows or Mac OSX:

  1. Go to https://vpn.eckerd.edu

  2. Enter your username and password and click 'Sign in'

  3. If this is your first time logging in, you will need to add the VPN to your Authy or Google Authenticator on your mobile device.

  4. Open the application on your phone and chose the "Add Account" option.

  5. Scan the QR code on your screen when prompted.

  6. Enter the codes your Authenticator app provides when prompted.

  7. Download the Connect App for your operating system

Once you have the OpenVPN Client installed, connecting is quick.

  1. Click on the OpenVPN Client icon

  2. Select "vpn.eckerd.edu," then click the connect button (the first time you do this it will ask you allow the connection)

  3. Enter your username and password and click "OK"

  4. Open your Authenticator app on your mobile device, select the entry for vpn.eckerd.edu, and type in the code displayed. Then click OK.

  5. The word CONNECTED will be displayed in the VPN app.

Once connected, you will be able to connect to web sites and remote desktop servers as if you were on campus.
