How to update your Active Directory/Shared Drive policy

If you have moved to a new department or have been given updated shared drive (H:, S:, V:, etc) mappings, you may not see these changes immediately. This will update your settings:

Open the File Explorer
Right-Click the bad drive mapping and select Disconnect
Click Start
Type cmd and then click the Command Prompt icon when it appears
At the DOS prompt type: gpupdate /force
follow the prompts and log out when it asks you to do so.

If you are working remotely, you will do this in your session on remotedesktop.
